Excellence Serving The Community
Skagit Sign Co. Acquires Bayside Specialties
Skagit Sign Co., a leading provider of visual communications solutions, is pleased to announce its acquisition of Bayside Specialties. Since its inception in 1983, Bayside Specialties has been a cornerstone in the promotional advertising industry, renowned for its enduring tagline, “Promoting You is What We Do – Since 1983.”
Darrell and Stephanie Hooper, who brought Bayside Specialties to Skagit County in 2003, have dedicated years to nurturing the business and integrating deeply into the local community. Their relocation to Skagit County was a pivotal decision, allowing them to expand their business and enhance community involvement. Their commitment to community service has been evident through their active participation in various local organizations, including the Burlington Chamber Board, where Darrell served as Board Chair, and other regional chambers, such as SICBA. Stephanie’s leadership extended to serving as President of Skagit Women in Business, participating in Leadership Skagit, and holding positions on the EDASC Foundation Board and the Boys & Girls Club Board, where she was also Board Chair. Additionally, their engagement in Rotary has been profound, with both serving as Presidents of the Rotary Club of Burlington and as Assistant Governors for Rotary District 5050.
Their efforts have earned them numerous accolades, including Business Partner of the Year, Visionary Sponsor, Leadership of Excellence, National Service to Youth Award, SBA Award of Excellence, and the Burlington Chamber Stowe Award. Their dedication to fostering business connections and community bonds has enriched the Skagit County landscape, promoting a strong “Shop Local” ethos.
As they pass the torch, Darrell and Stephanie Hooper are thrilled to hand over the reins of Bayside Specialties to Anthony and Tina Asp, owners of Skagit Sign Co. They are confident that the Asp family’s vision and commitment will propel Bayside Specialties to new heights, ensuring continued growth and success.
“We are excited about the future of Bayside Specialties under Anthony and Tina’s stewardship. Their creativity and dedication are a perfect match for our clients, and we look forward to seeing the business flourish,” said Darrell Hooper.
The Hoopers extend their deepest gratitude to all their clients and partners for their unwavering support and contributions to the success of Bayside Specialties. They are optimistic about the future of Skagit County and believe that the community will continue to thrive with the ongoing support of local businesses.
